Beckton Skills Centre offer Functional skills from Entry Level 2 to Level 2.
Delivered as apart of our main Mechanics programme learners develop Functional Skills in an informal and friendly way.
Apprentices need to be able to achieve Level 1 in Maths, English and ICT to successfully complete their apprenticeship programme. It is therefore extremely important that a lack of these basic skills does not get in the way of their career development. Generally our approach is to embed these essential skills within in the main programme of study. Functional skills are taught by the same delivery staff to ensure consistency of teaching and learning styles.

- Beckton Skills Centre also offer bespoke courses for people who need to improve these skills for employment purposes or to gain entry to university.
